A Rockville man was arrested on charges of sexually assaulting a child, and detectives are seeking additional victims, according to the Montgomery County Department of Police.
Wilmer Alvarado-Gomez, 37, is accused of allegedly assaulting the child Feb. 20, in the area of Parkland Drive in Rockville. He is also accused of sending sexually explicit photos to the victim.
Detectives from the Special Victims Investigations Division (SVID) are investigating the possibility of additional victims
SVID detectives obtained an arrest warrant for Alvarado-Gomez on Feb. 21, and arrested him near his home in Rockville on Feb. 22.
He faces charges of second-degree rape without consent of a child under 13 and second-degree rape of a child under 14.
Alvarado-Gomez is being held without bond at the Montgomery County Central Processing Unit.
